JPM Weddings was founded by Justin Porter in 2019. Obsessed with documentaries and reality TV, he wanted to bring that same raw, addictive energy to the weddings he was filming. It all started when he accidentally left a microphone on a bride for her entire wedding day.
What he captured wasn’t just pretty footage… it was real emotion, honest laughter, and the kind of unfiltered moments most couples never get to relive. That “happy accident” became the foundation of the Reality TV Wedding Film Style we created — and it’s still at the heart of every wedding we film today.

As a wedding filmmaker, you’d think my own wedding video would be my prized possession. It’s not, though.
It’s gorgeous, don’t get me wrong. It captured the sweetness of the day I married my beautiful wife, who is my world and my beating heart. There’s footage of my wife and me in slow motion. Of me putting on my tux. Of her bouquet.
And yet, I can’t help but notice what it doesn’t show.
It doesn’t capture the talks I had with my mom and grandma about my dad, who passed away before we got married — conversations so intimate that I want to remember them forever. It doesn’t capture my favorite memories of cutting up the dance floor with my best friends. It doesn’t capture the heart of who my wife and I are as people, and as a couple.
I can’t tell you how much I wish I could go back and have a video of our day that captures what actually mattered — the parts I’ve been trying to replay in my head, but that are already starting to fade.
That’s why I do what I do. I chase stories because I’m passionate about the unscripted realness that happens at weddings. The raw emotions, the candid moments, the laughter through tears. True connection. Trust me — these are the moments you’re going to want to remember. And they’re the moments I’ll never miss.
